• Sam: The thing about kids that age, isn't it horrible when, have you ever had this sensation where you think "ah I've got such chemistry with kids", you smile at them, and they burst into tears?
  • Russell: It's horrible. Absolutely.
  • Jon: That backfire moment in a supermarket.
  • Russell: Absolutely. But there's that awkward thing, so many things go through your head, you see a cute kid doing something cool and you think "smile, nah I can't because then the mum will think I'm a pedophile. I can't do that," and then you smile and then you make them cry and it doesn't look good. Especially if you're clutching onto something, like random, you've got batteries in your hand and you're smiling, and just: "why are you making my kid cry?" "I'm just buying batteries!". And I've got one of those faces... I'm really envious of those people who can smile at a baby and make them laugh, I haven't got that skill.
